What is a Free Solar Analysis?

Have you seen solar going up in your area and thought you should consider going solar yourself, but don’t know where to begin? At Eagle Point Solar, we understand solar is an investment and we believe it is important to provide the necessary education to understand how solar works and the many benefits it can provide.

As a solar provider, we provide our clients with a detailed, custom-designed, turnkey energy management solution to help them save money while protecting the environment. In addition, we want to add to your knowledge of solar so you can make an informed decision whether you choose to go solar or not. This education begins with our Free Solar Analysis report which outlines the financial and environmental benefits of solar. This report is always free and with zero-commitment.

We use solar design software to layout what solar would look like on your roof or structure.

Before The Solar Analysis Report

The first thing our team does is collect some basic information and historical electric energy usage from you. This information goes to our design & engineering teams who design your solar array based on the energy usage information you provide and satellite imagery of your property.

Designers will consider the roof face direction, shading, size, angle, material of the roof, ground space (if a ground array is determined), historical weather data in your area and more. Our team is happy to talk through and answer all your questions about why one option may be better than another.

What To Expect To See On the Report?

Once the report is completed, a member of our sales team will schedule a convenient day and time to review the report with you. The solar energy consultant will explain a list of items on the report including:

  • Location and appearance of the array
  • Estimated average annual solar energy production
  • Solar production vs. your electrical use
  • Total cost of the system and return on your investment
  • Financing options
  • Equipment warranties
  • Incentives and rebates available
  • Environmental benefits

The size of the solar array to offset the energy you purchase from your utility is a key factor in the cost of solar. The size of your recommended system is based on the historical electric usage you provided and the space available combined with your goal to maximize your savings.

If the recommended array is too costly, payback period or incentives do not meet your expectations, or the placement of the array is not in your ideal location, don’t worry. This is just an estimate to provide you with general knowledge about a solar energy system designed to meet your goals for solar. Many of the variables within the report can be adjusted accordingly to meet your financial and environmental expectations. The key is to start with understanding how these systems work in tandem with your utility solar policy then design and engineer a custom solution to meets your household or business energy consumption needs.

A person crunching numbers coming from graphs and charts. A free solar analysis can tell you is solar can add up to savings for you. What Happens After the Free Solar Analysis is Reviewed?

The decision is up to you to determine if solar is the right solution. If you feel like solar could be an option for you, our engineering department will schedule time to take measurements of your home and inspect the existing electrical infrastructure. With this information, we can then provide an accurate and true scope of your solar project that best meets your goals and objectives. If solar is not ideal in your situation or does not meet your energy goals, you are left with the understanding of how solar works in combination with general knowledge of your utility’s solar policy.
