Johnson County Solar Task Force

The Johnson County Solar Task Force is kicking things off with our official public launch event – and we want YOU to be there!
The Task Force is calling on local businesses, community leaders, and everyone interested in solar energy to come to our first public meeting on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Coralville Public Library (1401 Fifth Street, Coralville).
Here is what to expect at our kick-off event:
- Detailed success stories from a panel of local businesses, residents, and nonprofits using solar energy
- Q&A session with the panel of experienced solar energy users about their real-world solar projects
- Learn how to help the Solar Task Force drive distributed solar energy initiatives in Johnson County
Over the coming months, the Task Force looks to attract and connect homeowners, businesses, non-profits, consumers, builders, land developers, installers, financial institutions, and others to join our effort. Educational seminars, forums, and other resources are being planned, including monthly solar energy breakfasts targeting different segments of the community.
The kick-off meeting will showcase exemplary residential, municipal, and business solar projects that will help lead us to a more sustainable future. To learn more and register, visit the Johnson County Solar Task Force Public Launch registration page.
