Jim Pullen

President/CEO

Jim has over 30 years of executive sales and operations management experience, including nearly 15 years in the solar industry. Prior to being named President/CEO, he was Eagle Point Solar’s General Manager and was responsible for all day-to-day operations. Strategic planning, execution and partnership development are now the focus of his efforts.

During his tenor, Eagle Point Solar has grown to be a regional leader in the solar industry with 130 employees spread across offices in Dubuque, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines Iowa. The company has also been included on the Inc. 5000 list 5 times and the Solar Power World “Top Solar Companies” in the U.S. for 9 years running. In addition, Jim continues to serve in the solar industry and local business community. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, the Iowa Solar Energy Trade Association (ISETA) as well as the Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin Platteville Sustainability and Renewable Energy curriculum.

Jim and his wife of 40+ years, Mary Jo, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren and spend their free time with family in the outdoors, boating and fishing.

RANDY AMBROSY

Chief Operations Officer

Since 1991, Randy has served in a variety of executive management roles including sales, marketing, product development, international business and operations. Randy has lead acquisition and divesture teams and has experience managing large projects. Randy brings executive leadership to the team, and oversees the construction phases of the business while focusing on process efficiency and improvement. Randy earned his master’s degree in business analytics from Loras College in 2017.

Dave Boekholder

Vice President of Sales

As the VP of Sales, Dave is instrumental in leading the Eagle Point Solar sales team efforts in building and strengthening client relationships and nurturing new growth opportunities throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Dave served in various executive sales roles within the software industry working with business owners, executive leaders, government agencies, structural engineers, architects, home builders and construction estimators to gain efficiencies, grow revenue, and ultimately save time and money utilizing advanced software technologies.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? "I enjoy spending time with my family on the Mississippi river, attending Iowa Hawkeye events, and watching any sports in general."

Tod Hollenback, NABCEP-PV

Vice President of Design & Engineering

Tod has over 25 years of experience in electrical system design, sales, repair and engineering within the technology market. As VP of Design & Engineering, Tod is responsible for the system design and engineering process which includes matching compatible equipment to the needs and goals of all Eagle Point Solar client projects. Tod has attended numerous training and industry conferences and is a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Photovoltaic Installation Professional (NABCEP-PVIP). Prior to Eagle Point Solar, Tod was a small business owner and previously was employed by a technology company performing both technical and sales support.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work, I’m still working. Usually I can be found tackling various projects on a honey-do-list or honing my skills as a bass player and self-proclaimed sound engineer.”

Mandy Schueller

Chief Financial Officer

Mandy joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. Mandy holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Clarke University with over a decade of experience in the accounting industry. As Chief Financial Officer, Mandy will focus on strategic planning & execution of financial plans, cash management and developing tools to develop, track and report the financial metrics that will drive Eagle Point Solar’s success.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work I like to cook, crochet, play cards, help on the farm and spend time with family.”

Mike Brummer

Sales Manager

Mike joined Eagle Point Solar in 2015. He has over 25 years of sales and sales management experience. He has been recognized with numerous local, regional and national sales awards throughout his career. As Sales Manager, Mike is focused on managing sales processes and projects with regard to conducting solar energy consultations, sales marketing, driving new business and identifying growth opportunities in all of the markets we serve. Additionally, Mike holds his Tesla Fundamentals for Certified Installers Certificate.

Do you volunteer your time anywhere? “I’ve played semi-professional volleyball early in my career. Now, I volunteer my spare time to help teach the sport to students at the high school level.”

Kent Kraus

Key Account Manager

Kent joined Eagle Point Solar in 2017. As a Solar Energy Consultant, Kent helps to provide the tools and education necessary for clients to navigate the solar industry. He is instrumental in guiding clients through the Eagle Point Solar process from how solar works, equipment types, utility policies, incentive programs, warranties, construction options, energy monitoring, etc. Kent is tasked with providing Eagle Point Solar clients with the best solar energy system(s) designed to meet current and future energy needs. Kent holds an Associates in Marketing Management from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and is a volunteer Junior Achievement Instructor.

Do you have a special talent? “I’ve played in a band for many years and consider myself the World’s 'Okayest' Guitar Player.”

Brian Bradshaw

Solar Energy Consultant

Brian joined Eagle Point Solar in May of 2023 as a Solar Energy Consultant. He is focused on building strong client relationships and providing renewable energy solutions designed to meet production goals and lowering client energy cost.

Daryl Bush

Senior Solar Energy Consultant

Daryl joined Eagle Point Solar in February of 2021 and covers the northwestern Illinois area. He is instrumental in helping to educate our growing base of Eagle Point Solar clients on utility policy, solar equipment, incentive programs, array options and the financial and environmental benefits solar provides in lowering electricity costs and reducing our client’s carbon footprint. Daryl is passionate in building strong relationships and providing renewable energy solutions designed to meet our client’s energy production goals. Daryl has extensive sales and building construction experience throughout the Midwest having previously worked in the residential, commercial and industrial metal building industry.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I’m an avid sports fan and enjoy supporting my favorite teams, traveling and spending time with my son.”

Christopher Canavan

Christopher has over a decade of experience in the solar energy sector, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. As a passionate advocate for the environmental and financial benefits of renewable energy, he combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to his clients.

In 2023, Christopher brought his experience and dedication to Iowa, where he proudly serves the communities of Des Moines and Cedar Rapids. As a husband and father of three, he understands the importance of sustainability, reliability, and long-term value—principles that guide his work every day.

What do you love about your job? “I love helping people make smart decisions that truly benefit them. Every project is an opportunity to add real value—cutting costs, improving property performance, and creating a lasting impact for families and businesses alike. Seeing clients proud of their investment and the positive change it brings is the most rewarding part of what I do.”

Seth Groth

Solar Energy Consultant

Seth Groth was raised on a farm and is from Olin, Iowa. He is now based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with over eight years of experience within the renewable energy, insurance, and membership sales industries. As a Solar Energy Consultant, he is known for his consultative, relationship-driven approach to educating people on the environmental and financial benefits of solar and renewable energy battery storage technologies. His focus is on simplifying complex decisions and delivering solar energy solutions to meet the growing energy demands of his clients. Previously, Seth developed early leadership experience managing operations, member relationships and high-performing teams in customer-facing environments. He is passionate about people development, strong culture, and sustainable growth.

Chris Hoffman

Senior Solar Energy Consultant

Chris joined Eagle Point Solar in the spring of 2022 as a Senior Solar Energy Consultant covering the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and North Liberty corridor along with the surrounding territory in Iowa. He is passionate about helping people reach their renewable energy goals through the use of clean, sustainable, renewable solar energy. Previously, Chris worked in the solar industry and managed a wide variety of solar projects from small residential to large 3,000 module solar arrays. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. He is also the mayor of North Liberty (IA) and has served as a city councilor or mayor since 2007.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I love a day on the golf course. I enjoy the quiet, the challenge of the game and the people I am with. I’m also a history enthusiast. Mostly US history, but also I find the relationship our county has with the rest of the world to be fascinating.”

David Pluym

Senior Solar Energy Consultant

David (Dave) Pluym brings a wide breadth and depth of technical sales experience to Eagle Point Solar as an addition to their solar sales team. Dave has over 30 years of sales and management expertise combined with design, repair, and procurement within the technology market. His exemplary leadership and strong implementation strategies in technical and operational plans have a proven record in facilities management solutions for solar, IT, GPS consulting for land surveying and machine guidance, M2M tracking and property, and casualty insurance.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.”

Nick Smith

Solar Energy Consultant

Nick Smith brings a strong background in hospitality and customer service to his role as a Solar Energy Consultant with Eagle Point Solar. Having spent most of his career managing high-volume restaurants, he understands the importance of efficiency, sustainability, and taking care of people. Nick holds an associate’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management from Des Moines Area Community College.

In addition to his work in solar, Nick owns and operates a hydroponic shipping container farm, providing fresh, locally grown herbs and lettuces to restaurants, markets, and chefs in the Des Moines area. His passion for sustainability and community-driven solutions makes him a valuable resource for clients looking to transition to clean energy.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on our recently acquired property just outside of Indianola, where my fiancé and I are building the future site of our business and farm store. I love working on hands-on projects, like turning a lofted shed into a tiny house and transforming the land into a thriving farm.

What do you love about your job? “Creating a sustainable and welcoming space for our community is something I’m truly passionate about, and I’m excited to see our vision come to life.”

Cory Wernimont

Senior Solar Energy Consultant

Cory joined Eagle Point Solar in March of 2020 covering the northeast Iowa territories. He is enthusiastic, driven and focused on building strong, lasting client relationships. Cory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing degree from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. He is tasked with educating the public on the environmental and financial benefits of solar and providing energy generation solutions to a growing base of consumers seeking to lower electricity costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy coaching football at Western Dubuque High School.”

Chris Wiarda

Solar Energy Consultant

Chris joined the Eagle Point Solar team in August of 2023, bringing with him five years of experience in the solar industry. He moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa in 2010 and has been there ever since. He covers the Corridor area of Eastern Iowa including but not limited to Iowa City, North Liberty, and Cedar Rapids. Solar sales is the first job he’s ever had that he loved, combining his financial background with his desire to make positive environmental change.

What do you like to do in your time outside of work? "I hate forced cardio, so I play a lot of basketball because it feels more like a game. I also enjoy watching sports and listening to comedy podcasts."

Matt Pullen, NABCEP-PVA

Director of Design, Engineering & IT

Matt leads the Eagle Point Solar design and engineering team and is tasked with managing the daily core business operations of site assessments, solar system designs, and working on large RFP projects. Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa. He has been passionate about the environment for his entire life and views renewable energy sources as a means of conservation.

What do you do in your spare time? “I enjoy spending time outdoors and watching sports.”

Jake Thumann, NABCEP-PVA

Design & Engineering Manager

Jake joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. As a Design & Engineering Supervisor, Jake aids in the preliminary and post site assessment solar production stages. He is instrumental in gathering the necessary measurements, assessing the site, reviewing the energy needs and helping to provide the necessary documentation for the solar engineering teams. Jake holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Conservation from Wartburg College and is a certified Arborist in the State of Iowa. Jake holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate certification. (The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

Do you have any previous work experience which relates to your current expertise? “Before joining Eagle Point Solar, I was a Utility Forester for MidAmerican Energy. I was responsible for creating detailed GIS maps for utility forestry work needing to be completed on the power lines. Strong project management and communication with home owners was a requirement and has helped me in my new role of performing detailed site assessments.”

Seth Alfstad

Solar Field Engineering Specialist

Seth joined Eagle Point Solar in December of 2023. As a Solar Field Engineering Specialist, Seth works to provide accurate site assessment data, photos and customized solutions regarding various obstacles which our teams encounter in the field for any given project. He helps to ensure each system meets the engineering requirements to perform optimally and overcome any worksite constraints. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Seth worked in the solar industry throughout Iowa and Colorado with various solar construction and operations divisions.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy traveling to hike 14,000ft+ mountain peaks and off grid camping with my two dogs. I also love to build, ride, and race motorcycles for fun when I have free time to myself.”

Matt Kramer, NABCEP-PVA

Solar Design Specialist II

Matt joined Eagle Point Solar in July 2022. As a Solar Design Specialist II, Matt works to build energy solutions for Eagle Point Solar clients. He is instrumental in gathering the necessary measurements, assessing the site, reviewing the energy needs and helping to provide the necessary documentation for the solar engineering teams. Working directly with Energy Analysts and Field Engineers, Matt is tasked with designing solar arrays which consists of generating post site assessment designs, construction diagrams, plot plans and more. Matt holds a Bachelor of Graphic Design from the University of Northern Iowa. Matt holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate accreditation and is a certified FAA part 107 drone pilot.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I spend my time outdoors mostly riding dirt bikes, fishing, camping, and snowboarding. When I can’t get outside I enjoy art and designing.”

Todd Lindquist, NABCEP-PV, NABCEP-ESIP

Key Account Technical Supervisor

Todd graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2017, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Renewable Energy.  Todd holds a NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) PV Installation Professional certification as well as a NABCEP Energy Storage Installation Professional certification. Todd is passionate about the environment and alternative forms of energy. He is tasked with supervising our lead technical team on all key account business and works in conjunction with our sales team on strategic opportunities. Previously, Todd worked as a Technical Supervisor and holds extensive experience performing site assessments, designing solar systems, estimating, engineering customized CAD drawings and solar installation. Todd is also a drone operator and has an FAA Remote Pilot Certification.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? "I enjoy staying active, traveling with friends, hiking trails, mountain biking, and camping in some of our great national parks."

Joey Maiers

Solar Design Specialist

Joey started at Eagle Point Solar in March of 2024. As a Solar Design Specialist, working directly with Energy Analysts and Field Engineers, Joey is tasked with designing solar arrays which consists of generating post site assessment designs, construction diagrams, plot plans and more. Joey graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Enterprise Leadership from the University of Iowa. From there, he went on to work in the solar industry as an installer before working as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technician for a local company. He takes pride in working in the solar industry because it feels good to be making a positive difference in the world.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? “I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being active, watching my favorite teams, and trying out new restaurants and breweries.”

Shana Miller

Energy Analyst

Shana Miller joined Eagle Point Solar in 2024. As an Energy Analyst she is tasked with building energy solutions for clients. Specializing in 3D software, she works directly with System Design Analysts and Solar Energy Consultants to help create a big picture overview of the energy output needs during the design stage.

Shana holds an Iowa Real Estate License and enjoys volunteering with Together We Achieve, PTA, and participating at various local non-profit events throughout the Cedar Rapids corridor. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Shana worked in the building and construction industries assisting in the project estimation of flooring, windows and doors.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? “Spending time with my husband and kids, exercise, being outdoors, gardening, cooking and baking, and going to our kids’ sporting events.”

Brad joined the Eagle Point Solar design and engineering team in February of 2021. As a Project Finance Analyst he is tasked with building energy solutions for clients. Working directly with System Design Analysts and Solar Energy Consultants, he helps to create a big picture overview of the energy output needs during the design stage. Brad brings an extensive background and understanding of underground utilities. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.

Rory Mulgrew, NABCEP-PVA

Senior Solar Field Engineering Consultant

Rory joined Eagle Point Solar in June of 2021. As a Senior Solar Field Engineering Consultant, Rory works to provide accurate site assessment data, photos and customized solutions regarding various obstacles which our teams encounter in the field for any given project. He helps to ensure each system meets the engineering requirements to perform optimally and overcome any worksite constraints. Rory holds a Bachelors of English Literature from the University of Iowa. He brings to our team advanced knowledge in energy conservation having previously spent eight years performing energy audits to increase energy efficiencies for residential and commercial clients.

What are you passionate about? “Spending time with my son teaching him life skills and doing things he is interested in. I also enjoy golfing and traveling in my free time.”

David Pardoe, NABCEP-PVA

Lead Energy Analyst

David joined Eagle Point Solar in the fall of 2021 as a Solar Energy Consultant – Inside Sales. In his current role as a Lead Energy Analyst he is responsible for analyzing utility bills for proposed solar projects and creating customer facing Solar PV reports.  David holds a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Solar Associate certification, Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA and a Master of Arts in Teaching (Science and Math) from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. David holds additional secondary education certifications in math, physics, and STEM curriculum focused on robotics, design and modeling and engineering. He is previously certified in CPR/Lifeguard and outdoor emergency care. David is a past member of the National Ski Patrol and held additional certifications as a Professional Association of Advanced Divers (PADI), U.S.A. Swim Coach and American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO) soccer coach and trainer.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I enjoy spending time outdoors walking, hiking, biking, paddling and camping;  spending time indoors cooking, reading and playing guitar as well as travelling to spend time with family.”

Joe Rushlow

Solar Field Engineering Specialist

Joe joined Eagle Point Solar in 2022. As a Solar Field Engineering Specialist with the Design and Construction teams he is tasked with building energy solutions for clients working directly with System Design Analysts and Energy Analysts. On the construction team he helps with installing materials such as racking, inverters, optimizers, and solar modules on both roof and ground arrays.

Kyle Silva, NABCEP-PVDS

Senior Solar Design Specialist

Kyle joined the Eagle Point Solar team in July 2020. As a Senior Solar Design Specialist, Kyle works to build energy solutions for Eagle Point Solar clients. Working directly with Energy Analysts and Field Engineers, Kyle helps to design custom solar energy systems engineered to meet the energy production and environmental carbon offset requirements for clients. Kyle brings to the team additional skills and experience having previously served as a designer with Weber Stone Company and holds a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist Certificate from Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, Iowa. Kyle holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Design Specialist certification. (The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

What are you passionate about? “Spending quality time with my wife and dog. However, when it comes to sports teams, I’m rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Twins.”

Justin Williams

Solar Design Specialist II

Justin joined the Eagle Point Solar design and engineering team in the spring of 2022. As an Solar Design Specialist II he is tasked with building energy solutions for our clients. Working directly with System Design Analysts and Solar Energy Consultants, he helps to create a big picture overview of the energy output needs during the design stage. Previously, Justin worked as a mechanical engineer designing natural gas distribution projects and completed an internship in the Iowa DNR Pollution Prevention Program.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work? “I enjoy writing, producing music, and improving my chess game.”

CHRIS AIRD

PROJECT MANAGER

Chris joined Eagle Point Solar in March of 2021. As a Project Manager, Chris works to streamline and ensure every project moves across the organization as each development stage is completed. Additionally, Chris coordinates scheduling of our construction crew and ensures communication flows across other adjoining departments regarding client requests and project needs. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa.

TERESA BASSLER

PROJECT ANALYST

Teresa joined Eagle Point Solar in February of 2020. As Project Analyst, she ensures each project is moving through the various Eagle Point Solar stages of completion, securing permits and preparing the necessary documentation for construction scheduling. Additionally, Teresa is charged with maintaining accurate project documentation necessary for multiple levels of tasks required by the production workflow and assigned team members. Teresa holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Business degree from Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC), Peosta, Iowa.

What do you love about your job? “All of it! Every day brings a new set of opportunities and challenges to learn from. My coworkers are fantastic and together we’re making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and the environment.”

ASHTON HOLLY

PERMITTING SPECIALIST

Ashton joined Eagle Point Solar in the summer of 2023. As a Permitting Specialist, Ashton is tasked with the gathering, completion and filing of documentation materials needed to onboard new Eagle Point Solar clients as well as manage the workflow for digital documentation contract signing and permitting. She is instrumental in supporting multiple communication channels providing real-time operations and construction updates and scheduling communications to our clients. Ashton is a certified mental health coach and passionate about helping people overcome life’s obstacles.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I love spending my free time hanging out with friends, taking camping and hiking trips, and snowboarding in the winter.”

Creighton joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. As Project Analyst, he ensures each project is moving through the various Eagle Point Solar stages of completion. He is charged with maintaining accurate project documentation necessary for multiple levels of tasks required by the production workflow and assigned team members. Kinny holds an Associate of Arts from Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, IA.

Do you volunteer your time anywhere? “I volunteer with the Dubuque Martial Arts Group. I enjoy coaching a youth martial arts class and training students competing in competitions.”

Scott joined Eagle Point Solar in 2023. As Key Account Manager, Scott is responsible for ensuring projects are moving through the various processes with local jurisdictions and utilities to reach project completion.

CHANNEL PARTNER MANAGER

Kris joined Eagle Point Solar in September 2022. As Channel Partner Manager, Kris is responsible for managing relationships with our channel partners and managing the channel partner projects from design through construction. Kris has over 30 years of experience managing multiple channel relationships.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy camping with my family and spending time with my grandchildren.”

BRANDON NOEL

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Brandon joined Eagle Point Solar in 2018. As Warehouse Manager, Brandon is responsible for managing the logistics of materials and equipment ensuring all project materials are ordered and distributed to the job site and equipment is returned and ready to go for the next project.

What are you passionate about? “I love sound and lighting. In my spare time, I operate a sound and lighting business and enjoy setting up lights and audio for club concerts, weddings, community events, etc.”

Joseph Petsche, NABCEP-PV

Vice President of Construction

Joe holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and is NABCEP certified. He has over two decades of engineering and management experience including previous positions with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, British Petroleum and Amoco. Joe has managed hundreds of energy-related projects and is committed to precise planning, efficient execution, cost-effective results and total client satisfaction.

Mike Bahl

Solar Installation Technician Crew Lead

Mike joined Eagle Point Solar in January of 2020. Mike is tasked with building ground and roof-mounted solar energy systems. As a crew lead, Mike is charged with leading a team responsible for running conduit, installing inverters, setting modules, building racking and setting posts. Mike has an extensive electrical background having previously served as an owner/operator of a small commercial refrigeration business.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like to spend my time outdoors camping, fishing and playing disc golf. I also enjoy volunteering as a coach for Midwest Freeriders.”

Riley Ballard

Solar Installation Technician

Kenneth "Riley" joined Eagle Point Solar in June of 2022. As a Solar Installation Technician, he is tasked with building ground and roof-mounted solar energy systems. Riley is charged with running conduit, installing inverters, setting modules, building racking and setting posts. Riley holds a Level 1 IRATA Rope Access Certification and has previous experience installing solar.

Jeff Finazzo joined Eagle Point Solar in March of 2021. Jeff is tasked with installing materials such as racking, inverters, optimizers, and solar modules on both roof and ground arrays. Do you volunteer your time anywhere? “I am part of The Sunrise Movement in Cedar Rapids. We are a group dedicated to flight climate change. I also help manage a community garden for Feed Iowa First who work to combat food insecurity.”

Cory joined Eagle Point Solar in 2016. Cory is responsible for leading his crew and coordinating the onsite installation tasks associated with building solar arrays. Cory holds a Bachelor of Conservation Management from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa and has a relentless passion for improving the environment through the use of renewable energy technologies. Cory holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate certification. (The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like to go hiking, camping, and spend time on the river.”

Garrison enjoys installing solar because it allows him to work outside and no day is the same as the last.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like to spend my time outdoors hunting deer and bass fishing. I also enjoy blacksmithing, typically creating custom knives.”

Derek joined Eagle Point Solar in July of 2020. As a Solar Installation Technician Crew Lead, he is tasked with building ground and roof-mounted solar energy systems. Derek is charged with running conduit, installing inverters, setting modules, building racking and setting posts. Derek holds a Bachelor in Environmental Studies from Clark University, Dubuque, Iowa.

What do you do when you are not at work? “I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting for turkey, fishing and camping. Additionally, I enjoy doing small carpentry and cabinetry projects.”

Brian joined Eagle Point Solar in 2018. As Electrical Superintendent, Brian is tasked with building the electrical design and engineering of our projects, along with daily management of the electrical team, ordering materials and closely monitoring safety and quality standards for each site. Brian holds a Master Electrician License and served his 5-year apprenticeship at IBEW.

What do you love about your job? “I enjoy seeing projects move from start to finish. It’s rewarding to know how much these systems help to benefit our environment and greatly reduce the electrical costs of our clients.”

As a member of our electrical team, Drake is tasked with providing support to our master electricians in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of our client’s solar energy systems in order to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and effective operation of equipment. Drake is a certified apprentice in plumbing with extensive experience in the construction trades. When he’s not building solar arrays, he enjoys fishing, coaching soccer and spending time with family.

Do you have a special talent or achievement you want to share? “I have played soccer for over 19 years. In college, my team was ranked 4th in the nation for our age group.”

Dave holds a Master Electrician License in Iowa and Wisconsin and has been an electrician for over 30 years. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Dave owned an electrical company.

What do you like about your job? “I like the variety and challenge of all the electrical projects we get to work on.”

Electrical Helper/Communications Specialist

Matt joined the Eagle Point Solar operations and construction team in 2019 as an Electrician Helper/Communication Specialist. Matt is charged with completing AC power connections between modules, inverters and electrical panels. Additionally, Matt runs low voltage wiring to connect our client’s arrays to specialized online communication monitoring portals. Matt has specialized training in HAI Leviton Omni Security & Automation, Lutron Caseta Home Automation and Control 4 Home Automation Systems. Additionally, Matt has over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry. He is a member of the Elks Lodge and a frequent player of instruments such as piano, guitar, bass, drums and trombone.

What do you do in your spare time? “I enjoy grilling, playing in several bands and spending quality time with my wife and kids.”

Dennis has over three decades of voice and IP systems experience and holds a Converged Technology Professional (CTP) certificate.

Chase holds a Bachelor in Conservation Management from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa. When he’s not building solar arrays, he enjoys being outdoors hiking, kayaking, camping, running and biking.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I have done blacksmith and metal work for about 10 years. As an Eagle Scout, I also volunteer as a Scouting Commissioner for the Boy Scouts in my area.”

Greg joined Eagle Point Solar in May of 2023. As an Operational Manager, Greg is charged with the day-to-day operations of the Cedar Rapids location and its installations. Greg brings to the team a wide breadth of electrical experience. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Greg worked as a State of Iowa Electrical Inspector for 14 years and brings 22 years’ experience in the field as a Master Electrician. His electrical experience ranges from residential and commercial projects to large-scale industrial facilities. Greg completed a five-year apprenticeship at the Cedar Rapids Joint Apprenticeship Training Center. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and baking, reading and working on his many remodeling projects.

He is passionate about sports and getting kids involved in sport related activities. When he is not installing, Casey operates Olliewood, an indoor skatepark as well as serving as vice president of Midwest Free Riders, a non-profit, which coaches kids in snowboarding, skateboarding, and skiing.

What do you love about your job? "I like spending time outdoors and connecting with people. Helping clients save money on their energy bill is very rewarding work."

Stephen joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. He brings to the team a strong background in commercial and residential construction, advanced electrical experience and general framing and woodworking skills. Additionally, Stephen is passionate about environmental conservation and the renewable energy industry. He is tasked with installing solar modules, inverters, and racking.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy taking day trips to the zoo with my family, working on various projects in my garage and playing hockey on Sunday nights.”

Ryan joined Eagle Point Solar in July of 2020. As a Master Electrician, Ryan is charged with the electrical work associated with connecting a solar array to a utility meter. Ryan brings to the team a wide breadth of electrical experience. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Ryan served as a self-employed electrical contractor. His electrical experience ranges from modest residential projects to large-scale academic, hospital and manufacturing facilities. Ryan graduated from the Northeast Iowa Community College Residential-Commercial Electrician Program. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with family, camping, kayaking, completing projects on the family farm and searching for the newest craft beer on the market.

Nicole joined Eagle Point Solar in 2015. As Service and Support Supervisor, Nicole works with clients to facilitate any necessary service and support requests, scheduling and deploying personnel based on severity and geography of the request. Nicole also works to filter our online chat and support email communication channels to quickly provide resolutions and technical support. Nicole previously served as a Lead System Design Analyst. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

What do you like to do in your time outside of work? “I teach dance part-time at a local dance studio: Studio 5678 in Asbury, IA and enjoy spending as much time outside as I can: going on walks or hiking with my husband and son. If I’m not teaching dance or spending time outside, I’ll likely be reading and snuggling with one of my cats. ”

Megan joined Eagle Point Solar in the winter of 2022. As a Service and Support Coordinator, she is tasked with scheduling and managing site visits for service and support requests with field service technicians. Additionally, Megan helps to manage service requests through Eagle Point Solar’s online ticketing system and support online chat communications involving monitoring, production evaluation and a variety of other service and support requests. Megan has over a decade of customer service knowledge and is passionate about helping clients maintain optimal system performance with a positive experience.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like going on adventures with my kid, from a day of kayaking to going on road trips.”

Charles joined the Eagle Point Solar team in April, 2026. As a Customer Support Specialist, Charles is often the first point of contact for clients who have questions or issues regarding their solar hardware or software. He is responsible for answering or resolving service and support cases, and escalating them for further technical review if necessary.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy powerlifting, hyrox, and just about any other type of workout you can imagine."

Justin takes pride in his work and has a real passion for the solar industry and its’ future.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work, I like to kayak in the Green Island Wildlife Management area south of Bellevue, IA. I also love to teach graphic design, video editing, web development and corporate communications strategies as an adjunct professor at the University of Dubuque.”

As Communications and Events Specialist, she is tasked with coordination of various industry and community events such as tradeshows, seminars and ribbon cuttings. What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I love attending my kids’ events, hanging out with my husband, and chasing after or snuggling with my crazy crew of dogs!  I am a sunset/sunrise/Northern Lights junkie and enjoy painting these scenes when I’m not out enjoying them.”
