Dyersville enters into power agreement with Eagle Point Solar

Dyersville City Council members recently agreed to a power purchase agreement with Eagle Point Solar that will result in solar arrays being placed at Dyersville Social Center, Memorial Building and Well No. 4.
Eagle Point Solar will construct the arrays at its own cost. The city has agreed to purchase the electricity produced.
At the three proposed sites, the city is currently paying 10.7 to 13.8 cents per kilowatt hour. The electricity produced by the arrays will be 8.5 cents per kilowatt hour at each site.
The company is responsible for the maintenance of the solar panels during the duration of the contract.
