Jim has over 30 years of executive sales and operations management experience, including more than eight years in the solar industry. Prior to being named President/CEO, he was Eagle Point Solar’s General Manager and was responsible for all day-to-day operations. Strategic planning, execution and partnership development are now the focus of his efforts. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Jim was a member of the executive management team for an established technology firm as well as a small business owner.

Since 1991, Randy has served in a variety of executive management roles including sales, marketing, product development, international business and operations. Randy has lead acquisition and divesture teams and has experience managing large projects. Randy brings executive leadership to the team, and oversees the construction phases of the business while focusing on process efficiency and improvement. Randy earned his master’s degree in business analytics from Loras College in 2017.

As the VP of Sales, Dave is instrumental in leading the Eagle Point Solar sales team efforts in building and strengthening client relationships and nurturing new growth opportunities throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Dave served in various executive sales roles within the software industry working with business owners, executive leaders, government agencies, structural engineers, architects, home builders and construction estimators to gain efficiencies, grow revenue, and ultimately save time and money utilizing advanced software technologies.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? "I enjoy spending time with my family on the Mississippi river, attending Iowa Hawkeye events, and watching any sports in general."

Tod has over 25 years of experience in electrical system design, sales, repair and engineering within the technology market. As VP of Design & Engineering, Tod is responsible for the system design and engineering process which includes matching compatible equipment to the needs and goals of all Eagle Point Solar client projects. Tod has attended numerous training and industry conferences and is a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Photovoltaic Installation Professional (NABCEP-PVIP). Prior to Eagle Point Solar, Tod was a small business owner and previously was employed by a technology company performing both technical and sales support.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work, I’m still working. Usually I can be found tackling various projects on a honey-do-list or honing my skills as a bass player and self-proclaimed sound engineer.”

Mandy joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. Mandy holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Clarke University with over a decade of experience in the accounting industry. As Chief Financial Officer, Mandy will focus on strategic planning & execution of financial plans, cash management and developing tools to develop, track and report the financial metrics that will drive Eagle Point Solar’s success.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work I like to cook, crochet, play cards, help on the farm and spend time with family.”

Mike joined Eagle Point Solar in 2015. He has over 25 years of sales and sales management experience. He has been recognized with numerous local, regional and national sales awards throughout his career. As Sales Manager, Mike is focused on managing sales processes and projects with regard to conducting solar energy consultations, sales marketing, driving new business and identifying growth opportunities in all of the markets we serve. Additionally, Mike holds his Tesla Fundamentals for Certified Installers Certificate.

Do you volunteer your time anywhere? “I’ve played semi-professional volleyball early in my career. Now, I volunteer my spare time to help teach the sport to students at the high school level.”

Steve manages a team of Solar Energy Consultants who oversee a portion of our Wisconsin market area. He has an extensive background in solar with a decade of professional experience in solar sales covering over 30 states. Steve graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a double major in Resource Management-Law Enforcement and Soil Science. He spent three years working for the Wisconsin DNR in Dane County and various regional State Parks. Steve founded his own solar sales company in New Mexico and moved around the country, as his wife was enlisted in the Air Force. Following his wife’s enlistment, Steve’s family decided to move home to Wisconsin. Steve worked as a sales partner for Eagle Point Solar before coming onboard as a sales manager to assist in the oversight and development of a Wisconsin team.

What do you enjoy? "I enjoy being with my family in the outdoors. We will often spend time hunting, fishing, and playing sports. During the winter season I coach varsity girls' basketball."

Kent joined Eagle Point Solar in 2017. As a Solar Energy Consultant, Kent helps to provide the tools and education necessary for clients to navigate the solar industry. He is instrumental in guiding clients through the Eagle Point Solar process from how solar works, equipment types, utility policies, incentive programs, warranties, construction options, energy monitoring, etc. Kent is tasked with providing Eagle Point Solar clients with the best solar energy system(s) designed to meet current and future energy needs. Kent holds an Associates in Marketing Management from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and is a volunteer Junior Achievement Instructor.

Do you have a special talent? “I’ve played in a band for many years and consider myself the World’s 'Okayest' Guitar Player.”

Daryl joined Eagle Point Solar in February of 2021 and covers the northwestern Illinois area. He is instrumental in helping to educate our growing base of Eagle Point Solar clients on utility policy, solar equipment, incentive programs, array options and the financial and environmental benefits solar provides in lowering electricity costs and reducing our client’s carbon footprint. Daryl is passionate in building strong relationships and providing renewable energy solutions designed to meet our client’s energy production goals. Daryl has extensive sales and building construction experience throughout the Midwest having previously worked in the residential, commercial and industrial metal building industry.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I’m an avid sports fan and enjoy supporting my favorite teams, traveling and spending time with my son.”

Tom joined Eagle Point Solar in November of 2022. Tom is responsible for connecting with the public and helping to nurture and build relationships with residents, business owners and farmers in an effort to share the many financial and environmental benefits solar provides. He has served many roles throughout his career working directly with members of the public in various roles such as telemarketer, police dispatcher, on-air radio personality and park and recreation attendant to name a few.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I enjoy spending time with my wife, children and friends. My daughter and son-in-law live in Colorado, so we visit there a lot. I also love learning about music history and searching for collectable toys and sports memorabilia.”

Chris joined Eagle Point Solar in the spring of 2022 as a Senior Solar Energy Consultant covering the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and North Liberty corridor along with the surrounding territory in Iowa. He is passionate about helping people reach their renewable energy goals through the use of clean, sustainable, renewable solar energy. Previously, Chris worked in the solar industry and managed a wide variety of solar projects from small residential to large 3,000 module solar arrays. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. He is also the mayor of North Liberty (IA) and has served as a city councilor or mayor since 2007.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I love a day on the golf course. I enjoy the quiet, the challenge of the game and the people I am with. I’m also a history enthusiast. Mostly US history, but also I find the relationship our county has with the rest of the world to be fascinating.”

Ron joined Eagle Point Solar in the fall of 2021 as a Solar Energy Consultant covering the Des Moines and surrounding territory in Iowa. He is passionate about listening to the needs of EPS clients and helping to identify and build renewable energy solutions designed to meet production goals and lower client energy cost. Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing degree from University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Ron served a leadership role as a business-to-business consultant helping companies train and grow their sales force.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “As a UNI alumnus, I like to cheer on the Panthers when I can catch a game. I also enjoy hiking, golfing, Cornhole and attending an occasional concert. I also like Jeeping which provides me the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Iowa countryside and rural roads.”

Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Matt worked in the agricultural industry selling herbicides, pesticides, fungicides and seed. Currently he coaches Babe Ruth and girl’s softball in Epworth, IA and is an FFA community advisory board member at Western Dubuque High School.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like to coach my kid’s baseball and softball teams, watching the Cubs and cheering for Iowa football and wrestling. I also enjoy fishing for blue gill and crappie and hunting deer and pheasant.”

David (Dave) Pluym brings a wide breadth and depth of technical sales experience to Eagle Point Solar as an addition to their solar sales team. Dave has over 30 years of sales and management expertise combined with design, repair, and procurement within the technology market. His exemplary leadership and strong implementation strategies in technical and operational plans have a proven record in facilities management solutions for solar, IT, GPS consulting for land surveying and machine guidance, M2M tracking and property, and casualty insurance.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.”

Jason joined Eagle Point Solar in the summer of 2021 as a Solar Energy Consultant. He is tasked with educating and building strong client relationships throughout central Iowa on the financial and environmental benefits of a turnkey solar energy solution. Jason brings over two decades of retail sales management and industrial and construction sales experience to the Eagle Point Solar team. He studied business communication at DeVry University, Chicago, Illinois and founded a non-profit thrift store with his wife in Eldora, Iowa called Get Thrifty. He regularly volunteers in his community and previously served as a youth football, baseball and basketball coach.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy fishing, Morel hunting, watching sports, watching any Sci-Fi movies, spending time with my wife and four kids, and playing with our four dogs. We also own a party bus we would like to turn into a Skoolie eventually.”

He is tasked with educating the public on the environmental and financial benefits of solar and providing energy generation solutions to a growing base of consumers seeking to lower electricity costs and reduce their carbon footprint. Wagenhoffer is passionate about providing Eagle Point Solar clients with a seamless experience and devoted to client satisfaction. He holds a Bachelor of Fitness Management degree from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa and is a three-time Division III All-American wrestler.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy snowboarding, fly fishing, spending time with family and mentoring youth wrestlers.”

He has been passionate about the environment for his entire life and views renewable energy sources as a means of conservation.

Seth joined Eagle Point Solar in December of 2023. As a Solar Field Engineering Specialist, Seth works to provide accurate site assessment data, photos and customized solutions regarding various obstacles which our teams encounter in the field for any given project. He helps to ensure each system meets the engineering requirements to perform optimally and overcome any worksite constraints. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Seth worked in the solar industry throughout Iowa and Colorado with various solar construction and operations divisions.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? I enjoy traveling to hike 14,000ft+ mountain peaks and off grid camping with my two dogs. I also love to build, ride, and race motorcycles for fun when I have free time to myself.

As a Design & Engineering Supervisor, Vivika is charged with completing site assessments, designing solar arrays and engineering solar energy construction documents. Vivika holds a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Winona State University, Winona, Minnesota. Additionally, she holds a NABCEP PV Associate Certificate.

Do you have any previous work experience which relates to your current expertise? “I had a very technical position when I served in the U.S. Army. The training and type of work helped me build a strong foundation for the technical aspects of the renewable energy industry and my current role.”

Prior to his current role, Cameron worked as a Solar Installation Technician. He was tasked with installing materials such as racking, inverters, optimizers, and solar modules on both roof and ground arrays.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? “I spend my time outdoors. I am passionate about visiting and exploring National Parks with my family. I enjoy going on hikes with my dog, kayaking and camping.”

Matt joined Eagle Point Solar in July 2022. As a Solar Design Specialist II, Matt works to build energy solutions for Eagle Point Solar clients. He is instrumental in gathering the necessary measurements, assessing the site, reviewing the energy needs and helping to provide the necessary documentation for the solar engineering teams. Working directly with Energy Analysts and Field Engineers, Matt is tasked with designing solar arrays which consists of generating post site assessment designs, construction diagrams, plot plans and more. Matt holds a Bachelor of Graphic Design from the University of Northern Iowa. Matt holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate accreditation and is a certified FAA part 107 drone pilot.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I spend my time outdoors mostly riding dirt bikes, fishing, camping, and snowboarding. When I can’t get outside I enjoy art and designing.”

Todd graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2017, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Renewable Energy and holds a NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) PV Installation Professional certification. Todd is passionate about the environment and alternative forms of energy. He is tasked with supervising our lead technical team on all key account business and works in conjunction with our sales team on strategic opportunities. Previously, Todd worked as a Technical Supervisor and holds extensive experience performing site assessments, designing solar systems, estimating, engineering customized CAD drawings and solar installation. Todd is also a drone operator and has an FAA Remote Pilot Certification.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? "I enjoy staying active, traveling with friends, hiking trails, mountain biking, and camping in some of our great national parks."

David joined Eagle Point Solar in the fall of 2021 as a Solar Energy Consultant – Inside Sales. In his current role as a Lead Energy Analyst he is responsible for analyzing utility bills for proposed solar projects and creating customer facing Solar PV reports.  David holds a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Solar Associate certification, Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA and a Master of Arts in Teaching (Science and Math) from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. David holds additional secondary education certifications in math, physics, and STEM curriculum focused on robotics, design and modeling and engineering. He is previously certified in CPR/Lifeguard and outdoor emergency care. David is a past member of the National Ski Patrol and held additional certifications as a Professional Association of Advanced Divers (PADI), U.S.A. Swim Coach and American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO) soccer coach and trainer.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?  “I enjoy spending time outdoors walking, hiking, biking, paddling and camping;  spending time indoors cooking, reading and playing guitar as well as travelling to spend time with family.”

Kyle joined the Eagle Point Solar team in July 2020. As a Senior Solar Design Specialist, Kyle works to build energy solutions for Eagle Point Solar clients. Working directly with Energy Analysts and Field Engineers, Kyle helps to design custom solar energy systems engineered to meet the energy production and environmental carbon offset requirements for clients. Kyle brings to the team additional skills and experience having previously served as a designer with Weber Stone Company and holds a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist Certificate from Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, Iowa. Kyle holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate certification. (The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

What are you passionate about? “Spending quality time with my wife and dog. However, when it comes to sports teams, I’m rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Twins.”

Jake joined Eagle Point Solar in 2019. As a Design & Engineering Supervisor, Jake aids in the preliminary and post site assessment solar production stages. He is instrumental in gathering the necessary measurements, assessing the site, reviewing the energy needs and helping to provide the necessary documentation for the solar engineering teams. Jake holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Conservation from Wartburg College and is a certified Arborist in the State of Iowa. Jake holds a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate certification. (The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

Do you have any previous work experience which relates to your current expertise? “Before joining Eagle Point Solar, I was a Utility Forester for MidAmerican Energy. I was responsible for creating detailed GIS maps for utility forestry work needing to be completed on the power lines. Strong project management and communication with home owners was a requirement and has helped me in my new role of performing detailed site assessments.”

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa. Chris received his Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certificate and is Yoga Alliance certified to teach Hatha Yoga.

What are you volunteer anywhere? “I volunteer at my church, Grandview United Methodist and also with my son’s PONY League Baseball team.”

Greg joined Eagle Point Solar in May of 2023. As an Operational Manager, Greg is charged with the day-to-day operations of the Cedar Rapids location and its installations. Greg brings to the team a wide breadth of electrical experience. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Greg worked as a State of Iowa Electrical Inspector for 14 years and brings 22 years’ experience in the field as a Master Electrician. His electrical experience ranges from residential and commercial projects to large-scale industrial facilities. Greg completed a five-year apprenticeship at the Cedar Rapids Joint Apprenticeship Training Center. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and baking, reading and working on his many remodeling projects.

She is instrumental in supporting multiple communication channels providing real-time operations and construction updates and scheduling communications to our clients. Ashton is a certified mental health coach and passionate about helping people overcome life’s obstacles.

Additionally, Matt runs low voltage wiring to connect our client’s arrays to specialized online communication monitoring portals. Matt has specialized training in HAI Leviton Omni Security & Automation, Lutron Caseta Home Automation and Control 4 Home Automation Systems. Additionally, Matt has over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry. He is a member of the Elks Lodge and a frequent player of instruments such as piano, guitar, bass, drums and trombone.

Ryan Holly joined Eagle Point Solar in 2021. As an electrical apprentice, he provides support to our master electricians in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of our client’s solar energy systems in order to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and effective operation of equipment. He holds an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology from Nicolet Area Community College.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.”

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy taking day trips to the zoo with my family, working on various projects in my garage and playing hockey on Sunday nights.”

Ryan joined Eagle Point Solar in July of 2020. As a Master Electrician, Ryan is charged with the electrical work associated with connecting a solar array to a utility meter. Ryan brings to the team a wide breadth of electrical experience. Prior to joining Eagle Point Solar, Ryan served as a self-employed electrical contractor. His electrical experience ranges from modest residential projects to large-scale academic, hospital and manufacturing facilities. Ryan graduated from the Northeast Iowa Community College Residential-Commercial Electrician Program. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with family, camping, kayaking, completing projects on the family farm and searching for the newest craft beer on the market.

Do you have a special talent? “I make a killer lasagna, homemade pizza and the best chili in the Tristate area!”

When he’s not building solar arrays, he enjoys being outdoors hiking, kayaking, camping and biking. When Chase is not at work, he considers himself an outdoorsman, often spending him time hunting, fishing and camping.

What are you passionate about? “I like to spend time being creative and applying my skills to think outside-the-box. I am currently converting an old ambulance into a camper.”

As Service and Support Supervisor, Nicole works with clients to facilitate any necessary service and support requests, scheduling and deploying personnel based on severity and geography of the request. Nicole also works to filter our online chat and support email communication channels to quickly provide resolutions and technical support. Nicole previously served as a Lead System Design Analyst. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

Do you have any previous work experience which relates to your current expertise? “I volunteered with the Environmental Coalition in college and was part of an internship called “Recyclemania,” which encouraged the University of Iowa to practice sustainability practices throughout the campus.”

As a Service and Support Coordinator, she is tasked with scheduling and managing site visits for service and support requests with field service technicians. Additionally, Megan helps to manage service requests through Eagle Point Solar’s online ticketing system and support online chat communications involving monitoring, production evaluation and a variety of other service and support requests. Megan has over a decade of customer service knowledge and is passionate about helping clients maintain optimal system performance with a positive experience.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I like going on adventures with my kid, from a day of kayaking to going on road trips.”

He works with our clients to help troubleshoot, resolve, document or submit a service request ticket for further diagnostics by a Service and Support Coordinator or onsite evaluation by a Field Service Technician. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Middle Tennessee State University.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “I enjoy attending live shows, watching movies, reading and going on hikes.”

As the Assistant Controller, Emily is tasked with daily management of accounts receivable, inventory evaluation, fleet management, fixed asset management, sales/use tax reporting and various other general accounting department duties. Emily holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in the State of Illinois along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. Previously, Emily worked with small businesses on tax planning, payroll and financial statement reporting. Additionally, she is the past president and current member of the Galena Satellite Rotary Club.

What do you love about your job? “I love being able to work to lower the cost of energy for our clients while protecting the environment for future generations.”

What do you like to do when you are not at work? “When I’m not at work, I like to kayak in the Green Island Wildlife Management area south of Bellevue, IA. I also love to teach graphic design, video editing, web development and corporate communications strategies as an adjunct professor at the University of Dubuque.”
